| The 2011 Pegasus New Zealand Women’s Open was staged from February 17 - 20 at the Pegasus Golf Course near Christchurch.
After a successful inaugural Open in 2009, the new partnership between Pegasus and Christchurch City Council has resulted in the Open being elevated to full co-sanctioned status between the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) for the 2010 and 2011 tournaments.
The Pegasus New Zealand Women’s Open proved an outstanding success in 2011, with record attendance and an outstanding field, won by Australia’s Kristie Smith while New Zealand’s Lydia Ko was leading amateur in a share of fourth place overall.
A date for the 2012 Open has not been finalised.
